Exubera, the first inhaled insulin
will be available soon. It is not to be used by anyone having smoked within six
months, with asthma, bronchitis, or emphysema. It is not approved for children

The inhaler is about the size of a
standard flashlight. A blister pack of insulin is inserted before each use.

AMITIZA,

a new prescription-only laxative. The capsules work by increasing fluids in the

Glycolax, now available generically, if one must take a laxative. For the
average adult, adequate water, an extra teaspoon of fish oil daily, Vitamin C,
and 1800 mg. of the mineral used to strengthen bones and improve sleep, Magnesium
GLYCINATE, can produce an adequate BM daily and comfortably. – REUTERS.
Only recently did I hear it
called the “necessary room”, and it certainly is.
Most experts now believe oral doses of at least 1,000 mcg of both folic
acid and Vitamin B 12 is required for an optimal Alzheimer’s disease

Pharmacists can
customize a new treatment immediately; a drug manufacturer needs seven years, or
will discontinue a needed product when it is no longer profitable. Examples of
compounded prescriptions:
1. Mupirocin, itraconazole, triamcinalone NASAL SPRAY, for sinusitis.
2. Ketamine solution/gargle for pharyngeal mucositis.
3. A Salicyamide/Ether aerosol
with oral Trinalast for intractable itching.
4. An
oral rinse of Tacrolimus for Lichen . Planus.
5. An
ophthalmic suspension of Econazole an antifungal antibiotic.
Examples are just that and are not to promote any drug.
